Are you also wondering how to spend your free time? If so, we invite you to a lecture where: you will find yourself in a cottage, you will smell the scent of soap suds, and maybe you will see Mrs. Irena too.
The performance explores, through lecture and object theatre, the phenomenon of cottaging under socialism and today. Through a play with authentic objects of one cottage woman, we try to reconstruct everyday life and answer a key question – how to spend time in a cottage even if I don’t have one? How to travel out when I am standing still? How to spend my free time?
‚‚PS: I really miss the shore by our lake, you know, there by the see, where nothing seems to be beyond the horizon. Just the sound of the surface and the clouds hovering in place. I took your advice to heart, placed my chair near the creek and closed my eyes. I imagined a map and a finger driving on, despite the folds and bends, the rustle and crackle of paper, beyond the boundaries of the familiar. The near. And now I’m really saying goodbye.’‘‘
